All your appointments are belong to us. By Marisa | April 27th, 2006

Let’s think about this:
Google knows where you live and work. (local + maps)
Google knows what you search for. (suggest)
Google knows what’s on your computer. (toolbar)
Google only gives you what your government thinks you should have. (hello, China)
Google knows what you sell and how much of it (adwords + analytics)
Google reads your email. (Gmail)
Google knows who you’re meeting with when. (calendar)
Google at some point may have to bend over and give up your data to your government.
Is it me, or is there something just a weeeee bit scary about your info being in Google’s hands? What happens if they decide that “don’t be evil” should become “some animals are more evil than others?” (apologies to orwell)

Hey! time for some shameless self-promotion and shout-outs to my peeps.
Well, if you've read this far, why not? This blog runs on Kick-ass Wordpress, the best blog software in the world using the Crimson Milk theme by Andrew Sutherland because Marisa is just way too lazy to make her own. Did you realize you can move stuff around? Try it. It's Ajax-a-licious. Grab something with your mouse and scootch it wherever you want it to be.Technorati thinks I'm cool. You should too.

Scary stuff. I blogged about Google Calendar on Murphy Mac recently. I included a link to a story called Death by Google Calendar.

Anyway - your blog looks really cool.
